Knocking noise within the water pipes, plastic items are discoloured and so on – the causes of any problem in the operation of the Teka dishwasher are presented in the tables below. Suds in the tubImproper detergentUse only the special dishwasher detergent to avoid suds. If this occurs, open the dishwasher and let suds evaporate. Add 1 gallon of cold water to the tub. Close and latch the dishwasher, then Start the "soak" wash cycle to drain out the water. Repeat if necessary.
Spilled rinse-aidAlways wipe up rinse-aid spills immediately.
Stained tub interiorDetergent with colourant was usedMake sure that the detergent is the one without colourant.
White film on inside surfaceHard water mineralsTo dean the interior, use a damp sponge with dishwasher detergent and wear rubber gloves. Never use any other deaner than dishwasher detergent for the risk of foaming or suds.
There are rust stains on cutleryThe affected items are not corrosion resistant.

Increase the amount of rinse-aid/refill the rinse-aid dispenser.
Dishes are removed too soonDo not empty your dishwasher immediately after washing. Open the door slightly so that the steam can escape. Begin unloading the dishwasher only once t he dishes are barely warm to the touch. Empty the low basket first. This prevents water from dropping off dishes in the upper basket.
Wrong program has been selectedIn short program the washing temperature is lower. This also lowers cleaning performance. Choose a program with a long washing time.
Use of cutlery with a low-quality coatingWater drainage is more difficult with these items. Cutlery or dishes of this type are not suitable for washing in the dishwasher.

Teka LX710 Dishwasher Troubleshooting

• the water supply to the house is on and has sufficient pressure;
• the water supply hose is crimped or bent;
• the filter for the water supply hose is clogged.
• the drain hose is too low
When the buzzer emits 2 or 6 short warning signals every 30 secondsContact the nearest authorized service center
If you take all these checks and the dishwasher still does not function or your dish- washer have any other error display, you can power the dishwasher OFF, and wait a few minutes. You can power the dishwasher on, try it again, if the dishwasher still does not function and/or the problem persists, contact the nearest authorised service center and provide them with the following information:
• the nature of the problem.
• the model type number (Mod...) And the serial number (S/N...), which are indicated on the plate located on the side of the inner part of the door
Lower spray arm rotates with difficulty• Spray arm is blocked by small items or food remains
Lid in detergent compartment cannot be closed• Detergent compartment has been overfilled.
• Mechanism is clogged with remnants of detergent
Indicator lamps do not extinguish after washing has finishedKiain switch is still set to ON
Remnants of detergent stuck inside dispenser• Compartment was damp when it was filled up with detergent. Compartment must be dry before detergent is added
Water remains inside appliance after programme has ended• Blockage or kind in drainage hose.
• Pump is jammed.

Unusual amount of foam is creased• Normal washing up liquid has been poured into the rinse-aid container.
• Remove any spilled rinse aid with a cloth as it could otherwise lead to excessive foaming during the next washing cycle
Appliance stops suddenly while washing is taking place• Cut off electricity supply to appliance.
• Water supply has been interrupted
Knocking sound can be beared while washing is taking place• A spray arm is knocking against the dishes inside the appliance
Rattling sound can be beared while washing is taking place• Crockery has not been stacked properly inside the appliance
Knocking sound coming from inlet valves• This is caused by the way the water pipes have been laid and it has no effect upon the way the appliance functions. There is no remedy for this
Remnants of food are stuck to the dishes, cutlery,etc• Dishwasher was not loaded properly. Jets of water could not reach all parts of the dishes, etc.
• Too many items in the rack.
• Items in the rack were touching each other.
• Not enough detergent was added to dispenser.
• Selected wash programme was not intensive enough.
• Rotation of spray arm was obstructed by dishes, etc.

Plastic items are discoloured• Not enough detergent was added to dispenser.
• Detergent has insuffcient bleaching properties. Use a detergent containing a chemical bleaching agent
White stains are left on crockery, glasses have a milky appearance• Not enough detergent was added to dispenser compartment.
• Amount of rinse-aid was set too low.
• Although water is quite hard, no salt has been put in appliance.
• Water softener was set too low.
• Lid on salt container is not screwed tight.
• If you used a phosphate-free detergent. try a detergent containing phosphates and compare results
Dishes,cultlery.etc.have not been dried• Selected programme did not include drying function.

The dishwasher won’t start or turn on— Check that the mains plug is inserted and switched on at the power point.
— Check that the relevant fuse hasn’t blown.
— Ensure that the dishwasher isn’t over-loaded and the door is closed completely.
— Error code El indicates that the water pressure is low. Ensure that the water supply is on and fully open.
Water isn’t being drained from the dishwasher— Check that the drain hose isn’t kinked .
— Check that the filter isn’t clogged. Follow the filter cleaning process within this user manual.
— Check that your waste outlet isn’t clogged.
Residual soap suds in the dishwasher after a wash cycle— Ensure that you are only using dishwasher detergents and the correct dosage.
— Open the dishwasher and allow suds to evapourate. Then add 1 litre of cold water into the base of the dish- washer, close the door, select any wash cycle and allow the dishwasher to drain the water. Repeat if necessary.
Stained interior— Avoid using detergents with colourants, as they can lead to staining.
White film on internal dishwasher surface— This can be caused where the water quality is poor and contains hard water minerals. To clean the interi- or, simply use a damp sponge with some dishwasher detergent. Never use harsh abrasives.
There are rust stains on cutlery— The cutlery may not be corrosion resistant and shouldn’t be used within the dishwasher.
Banging or knocking noise within the dishwasher cabinet during cycle— A spray arm is knocking against an item within a basket. Pause the dishwasher and re-arrange the items to ensure the spray arms are free to rotate.
The dishess are not drying— Ensure that the diswasher is loaded correctly.
— Ensure that you have Rinse Aid loaded in the Rinse Aid dispenser and try adjusting the Rinse Aid Dispenser to a higher level.
— Remember to slightly open the dishwasher door at the completion of its cycle.
Knocking noise within the water pipes— This has no influence on the dishwasher function and relates to the household plumbing.
